MJW Will Prepare Engines For The Official KTM Youth Race Team
Team Vampires Rock KTM is a dedicated motocross youth race team supported by KTM Factory UK. The ultimate goal is to help and produce future world champions for KTM and all the sponsors. A team of this nature hasn’t been seen since the team Green Kawasaki youth squad back in the early 1980s. The Kawasaki team had great success helping riders who without Team Green wouldn’t have reached the heights they did, riders such as Dave Thorpe, Kurt Nicoll and Paul Malin.
Team manager and owner Steve Steinman is no stranger to the sport having rode most of his childhood at a high level and then at an international level riding for team GB in the AMCA INBA Championships. With Steve’s knowledge he has managed to put together a great team to back up his riders for there assault on winning titles in 2012. Paul Malin former world international and now voice of the FIM World Series will be the team’s official coach. Looking after the bikes will be international mechanic Jem Webster and Mark Woodage (AKA THE BRAINS) from MJW Specialists.
Steve has signed up some great new talent such as Will Keogh who finished an impressive 4th overall in the 2011 Red Bull Elite Youth Series and a recent win in the Sheffield Supercross on his small wheel KTM 85. Steve’s second signing is Scooter Webster a “champion in the making” says Steve, both Will and Scooter will be riding in the big wheel 85cc class. Third signing is Brad Malin who will be heading up the small wheel 85cc class, all the 85’s will be contending in the Red Bull Nationals in 2012.
Vampires Rock is all about the youth racing and the team would not be complete without two great little auto riders. Jack Greyshon and Ozzie Murray are both showing great form in 2011. They will be contending in the GT Cup, ACU Championships and the Kids Masters in France.
